Balefire

Often associated with the harvest season, a Balefire is a massive flame, burning as a signal to neighbors.  It announces change, danger, death or birth. It is a way to communicate without words. A beacon to bond a community and foretell the future. 

My collections have been increasingly personal. Working remotely in Montana, through the pandemic, I feel a burning longing to call to those I love across distances. To signal my life changes, to witness the changes in all of us. This collection is a great pyre - turning an old world to ash and calling upon the Phoenix to rise as a new beginning.
